Hi there,

I decided to post really cool things that I've read, watched, felt, and so on. They are mostly (if not completely) nerdy stuff, but I'm sure everyone should give this stuff a chance. Ok, let's begin.

#############

Learning Japanese

#############

#############

First, I've decided to study Japanese. This did not come to me randomly. I am finishing an online technologist course on Digital Games. So I can talk with the first nation that comes to my mind when I think about videogames. This is why I began to do some things. One thing is doing at least one lesson of Japanese in Duolingo (from English to Japanese):

Duolingo Japanese.

Also, I began to listen to two Japanese Podcasts

and

The first one is from English to Portuguese, while the other is from Portuguese to Japanese (don't ask me why they use fluency instead of the Portuguese word "fluência").

Ok, but I could not start learning such a difficult language from "nothing". This is why I paid for a Japanese Online Course:

Nihongo Premium was my choice (from Portuguese to Japanese), and now there is even another course (not with Ricardo, but with a Japanese teacher) to study specifically to the fluency test JLPT N5, which is the first real thing to begin with if you want to learn or work with Japanese language.

Health

#############

Well... I cannot say anything about body health, but I can say about Mental Health. There is a guy who said this next quote:

Ok, so I need to say that I'm a broken man, unfortunately. However, I was able to fix myself, and I really want to help people to be much stronger than myself. This is why, I always like to indicate Mindfulness meditation to everyone. It has already been showed in several studies that you get a more resistant and resilient mind if you practice meditation. If you do not know where to begin, this is a good choice:

Headspace is available in several languages (including Brazilian Portuguese). There are other meditation apps, like Zen, Meditopia, Lojong (all in Portuguese). And do not forget to read my post about Human Singularity (https://rfunctions.blogspot.com/2021/04/the-rise-of-human-singularity.html#google_vignette). It will make you understand the basic concepts about human evolution, how the brain originated in animals, how people, like Miguel Nicolelis (google search him if you don't know who he is), are even working with Neuroengineering. Let's say goodbye to anxiety.

I wrote three small books trying to make people happy and fixing what we did wrong to the environment (take a look):

Making Games

#############

As I said before, I am a Game Developer, so I'll tell you, briefly, what I learned in my past months. Firstly, I developed my skills in two Game Engines: Unity and Unreal Engine. Sooner or later we end up choosing our "Starter" Engines (like Pokémon). Some people like Godot, Construct, or even RPG Maker. Here are a few game I made:

I really like this one I made. It's an online Rhythm Mobile Game called "Roda de Capoeira". Take a look! It is just a test, so don't mind any bugs you find.

And I even went to a further technical stage for a Game Development job. So I made this short game in just three days, called "Pirates of Eurocentric Plane Earth":

This is a GDD (Game Design Document), and it describes the game in detail. And yes, famous games began with GDD's. Take a look at the first Diablo's GDD:

Ok, now if you want to play "Pirates of Eurocentric Plane Earth":

I'm now working in a really cool game that will help lots of people! Just wait.

Playing Games

#############

Ok, first thing I have to say in this section... I beat Final Fantasy XVI:

Well... Battle system is much better in this game (better than FFXV, but worse than FF7Remake). I liked all moments of the adventure, made a friendship with this horizon-looking dog.

And I even found a very unique localization error (take a look, if you know Portuguese):

It is similar to this one I found in FFX (although this one error is well-known).

Well, I also finished Super Mario RPG, Super Mario Wonder, and Super Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

I also finished all Switch Assassin's Creed game just to find out I think Templars are not so bad after all. There should be more AC games where you control templars.

I also began to play Zelda Breath of the Wild, but then I realized I had to play Skyward Sword first, so now I am playing this Skyward Sword HD for Switch. Battle system is not so good in Switch, but I am sort of in the middle of the game.

Well... and here is the Next game I'll be spending dozens of hours: Final Fantasy VII Rebirth:

Books, Comics, Papers

#############

Finally, I want to tell you my new books and comics. Just to begin, I met Eduardo Spohr, the writer of some precious books:

For example, he is the writer of "A Batalha do Apocalipse" (something like "The Apocalypse Battle") and of "Filhos do Eden" ("Eden children").

I also bought the new book of Marcelo Gleiser, the most well-known Brazilian Physicist.

Also from a physicist, it's time to name Neil deGrasse Tyson's new book:

Also, you can also read my latest Ecology article in Austral Ecology, both in:

English

and Portuguese

Now about the comics, I finished two manga collections:

Attack on Titan

And... Dr. Stone, the manga that every scientist must read (or at least watch the Anime)!

Now, if you don't have time for more than one comic book or manga, so you must choose to read "The Last Ronin" (O Último Ronin), which is TMNT comic book placed many years in the future, and only one Ninja Turtle is alive, and has to defeat not only villains, but also his hallucinations.

That's it for now!

Till' next time
